| UNE EN 343 Protective clothing. Protection against the rain Fabrics which meet this EN ISO standard: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| In this European norm there are specified the requirements and methods of testing applicable to the materials and protection against the effects from showers, rain, snow, fog and floor humidity. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

There has to be applied the ergonomic requirements from the EN 340 norm. the application of the individual tests about each component is indicated in the following table:
| |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Water penetration resistance | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| EN 20811 | Tested with an increase of the hydrostatic pressure of 980 ± 50 Pa/min, the following samples will be done: - 5 samples for testing the material before the pre-treatment - 5 samples for testing the seams before the pre-treatment - 5 samples for testing the material after the pre-treatment by dry cleaning/washing - 4 samples for testing after the pre-treatment by abrasion - 4 samples for testing after the pre-treatment by repeated flexural bending - 4 samples for testing after the pre-treatment by petroleum and oil
If one sample obtains different values in the different tests, it has to be indicated the lowest class. The classification will be realized according the following table:

| Water vapour resistance | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| EN 31092 | When testing with that norm, the vapour water resistance from any layer of the garment has to match the following values:
| ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ISO 1421 EN 13934-1 | The material from the external layer has to support a tensile strength of, as minimum, 450N in both directions. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| ISO 4674 | The material from the external layer have to support a tear resistance of, as minimum, 25 N in both directions. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| EN 340 | The dimensional variation of any used material can’t exceed from ± 3% after 5 washing cycles or dry cleaning. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
