UNE-EN 1149
Electrostatic properties

This norm specifies the electroestatic test methods required for protective clothing.

For this test, a fabric sample is placed on an insulator plaque, where a group of electrodes are applied to a continuous current, which then measures the fabric resistance.

The fabric sample for this test should at least meet a minimum resistance level of 109 ohms on one side of the fabric, with Marlan 365 this figure is achieved on both sides of the fabric.
