UNE EN-471
High visibility

This norm specifies requirements for clothing capable of signalling the person's presence visually, in hazardous situations under low light conditions by day and under illumination by vehicle headlights in the dark.

Test methods ensure that a minimum level of protection is maintained when the garments are subjected to care procedures.

The requirements that have to be reached are:

· Dimensional chance: <3% in warp and weft (5 washing cycles).
· Colour fastness to hot pressing: 4 - 5 for degradation and 4 for run
· Colour fastness to dry cleaning: 4 for degradation.
· Colour fastness to rubbing both in dry and wet: 4 for degradation.
· Colour fastness to bleaching: 4 for degradation.
· Colour fastness to domestic and commercial laundering: 4 for degradation.
· Colour fastness to perspiration: 4-5 for degradation and 3 for run.
· Water vapour resistance: <5 (m2 · Pa) / W
· Water vapour permeability index: <0.15 (m2 - Pa) / W
· The load >850N length wise and >650N crosswise.

The chromaticity shall lie within one of the areas defined in table 1 and the luminance factor shall exceed the corresponding minimum in table 1.

The colour after exposure shall be within the areas defined by the co-ordinates in table 1. The luminance factor shall be not less than the corresponding minimum values in table 1.
