[05/09/2011] Marina Textil has participated in last Edition Technotex in India

Marina India participated in the Technotex exhibition & conference in Mumbai between 25th & 27th August.

TECHNOTEX 2011, the International Exhibition & Conference on Technical Textile was jointly organized by Ministry of Textiles India, Department of Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and supported by Indian Technical Textile Association (ITTA), BRTA, MANTRA, SASMIRA, NITRA and The Southern Gujarat Chambers of Commbers of Commerce (SGCCI).

Marina India has a stall exhibiting the complete production range in inherent Fire Resistant Fabrics. Mr. Raimon Sallares, Head of Marketing, Marina Textil Spain was available at the stall alongwith Mr.R.Naresh and Mr.Vijayakumar of Marina India.

Mr.Naresh of Marina India delivered a speech on ´Current trends and developments in FR textiles´ at the Technotex symposium which was well received. In his speech, Mr.Naresh emphasized that the current trend is to manufacture inherent FR fabrics with different combinations of fibres, yarns and finishes which are relevant to specific applications.

The exhibition was attended by a cross-section of people from Industry including oil & gas, foundries and personal protection companies and also textiles companies.

Speaking about the exhibiton and symposium, Mr.Raimon Sellares opined that it was a good forum to showcase Marina India´s products and he expressed satisfaction with the overall outcome & enquires generated in the fair.

[16/09/2010] Participation in the exhibition “Textiles from Spain” in New York

On July 14, Marina Textil took part in the exhibition Textiles from Spain to promote the Spanish textile industry in the U.S. market. Altogether 27 companies exhibited their specialties of spinning, weaving and accessories to buyers, agents and distributors gaining increasing interest year after year.

[10/09/2010] New laboratory facilities and equipment

Following the line of evolution that characterizes Marina Textil, we have made a significant investment in our laboratory to fit the technical needs to support R & D.

Within this area, we are devoting resources to study and improve the comfort of our fabrics, which is a fundamental property when using the protection clothing. The next step was the acquisition and installation of new equipment that allows us to quantify the comfort by determining fabrics’ RET and RCT values.

To offer a greater protection against the hazards of an Electric Arc demanded by the electrical sector and to meet the new standards UNE-EN 61482-1-2 (Electric Arc), UNE-EN ISO 11612 (heat and flame) and UNE-EN ISO 11611 (welding and allied processes), Marina Textil was challenged to complete its fabric collection developing a new fabric for electric arc protection to fulfil customers’ needs.

MARINA TEXTIL offers a collection of protective fabrics against electric arc hazards with a lower weight. The collection varies from underwear to fabrics with endless application possibilities. Marina Textil will be present with its own stand (Stand 9C-54) in the upcoming A + A “Safety, Security and Health at Work” fair to be held in Düsseldorf from 3rd to 6th of November 2009.

Marina Textil will present its latest innovations in fire-retardant fabrics as Marlan® and Marko®-Protex with the multi-risk fabrics for electrical and petrochemical sector.
