Cryolite Test

The cryolite is one of the metals from which the aluminium is obtained. This test was carried out by the IAI (International Aluminium Industry) and it is based on the European Standard EN373.

Test method: the cryolite at a 1120ºC temperature is poured on the fabric.

The cryolite is poured at intervals of 10 grams until the fabric is damaged.

From this moment, the rate cryolite mass/fabric mass can be calculated.

The IAI shows a rate of 0,09 as the reference value.
